getting to Crete

Crete has two international airports - Heraklion Airport and Chania Airport. We highly recommend flying into Heraklion, as it's a short drive to where we'll be celebrating.

When searching for flights, consider looking at one-stop routes too; as these often don't add much travel time and can be significantly cheaper than flying direct — especially from the UK.

If you find a better deal into Chania, you can still fly there - just keep in mind it's about 2.5-3 hours by car from the area we'll be staying in.

where to stay

Our ceremony and reception will take place near Heraklion, so staying in the Heraklion / Hersonissos / Malia / Stalis area will be the most convenient for the events.

We will be staying at Elios Hill Resort, and we'd love for our guests to stay with us so we can all enjoy the lead-up to the big day together. This is also where our Henna Party will be held, so it’ll be super convenient if you choose to stay there.

We were able to secure a discount code (6147) for anyone booking directly through the hotel’s website. However, it’s also worth checking travel comparison sites, as their rates can occasionally be cheaper depending on dates and offers.
Of course, if you’d prefer another hotel or an Airbnb, that’s totally fine — just keep the event locations in mind when choosing where to stay.

Getting around

If you're planning to make a holiday out of the trip, Crete is easiest to explore with a hire car. We’ve found driving here really straightforward — and depending on group size, it often works out cheaper than relying on taxis.

If you prefer to use taxis during your stay, you can use the Freenow app, and we’ll share a few reliable taxi company numbers closer to the date as well.
